The Smith School of Enterprise and the Environment

21st century environmental problems are unprecedented in scale and global in scope. There is a growing realisation that they can only be solved through deep collaboration between business, government and society. There is a real need to establish a research and teaching institution which can take a global view to bridge current divides – between business and government, and between various disciplinary approaches.

The School for Enterprise and the Environment at Oxford University will fill this crucial gap. It will be a world-leading School operating at the nexus of business, government and the environment, pioneering ways in which public and private enterprise can work jointly and individually to develop solutions to the environmental issues of the 21st century.
