Academic programmes are one of the key priorities of the Oxford Thinking Campaign. We aim to support the University’s work in advancing world-leading research and making life-changing discoveries while conserving our unique tutorial system.

Many of the posts established by Oxford's benefactors through the years are now considered among the most prestigious in their disciplines. With your help, we can maintain and build upon our long tradition of academic excellence and nurture the next generation of scholars, researchers and teachers.

There are four academic divisions in the University: Humanities; Mathematical, Physical and Life Sciences; Medical Sciences; and Social Sciences, in addition to the Department for Continuing Education. The Campaign is committed to advancing the work of each of these.

Supporting academic posts is vital to securing Oxford’s future as the world's leading university for teaching and research. Our goal is to see the world’s foremost academics attracted to the University by its expanded facilities, support for research and unparalleled scholarly community.
