Make a donation

Please help us celebrate Elias Ashmole’s 400th birthday by making a donation. With your support we will be able to appropriately display Powhatan’s Mantle, giving it pride of place in our redeveloped galleries. The Ashmolean depends on its many supporters and donors in everything it does. If we exceed our fundraising target, your support will help us safeguard and display all the other treasures that make up the Ashmolean’s exceptional collections, and bring them to life for generations to come.

We have come up with exciting rewards for our supporters. We will send everyone who gives over £10 to this appeal a limited edition bookmark. Those giving £100 are given the opportunity to have their name or a dedication (max. 40 characters) on the display case for Powhatan’s Mantle for a year, and donors over £500 will get both of the above rewards as well as an invitation to an exclusive donor reception, hosted by one of the curators, to mark the gallery opening.

Thank you for your support.

Oxford University Development Trust

All gifts are processed by the University of Oxford Development Trust (OUDT) and held on trust for the benefit of the Ashmolean Museum. Every gift will contribute towards the Oxford Thinking Campaign.

The objects of OUDT are to procure, assist and secure the advancement of education, learning, teaching, scholarship and research at or in connection with the University of Oxford, its colleges and societies. OUDT is administered by the University and established for a special purpose in connection with the University. It is therefore an exempt charity for the purpose of charity legislation. As such, it has full charitable status; albeit it is exempt from the requirement to register as a charity with the Charity Commission, and therefore does not have a Charity reference number.
