Founded in 2007, our intention is for the Oxford-Man Institute to develop into the leading centre for research in the analysis of financial markets using quantitative techniques. It brings together faculty and students from many areas of the university to study how risk is managed and priced. We have a particular strength in studying the new area of alternative investments, which includes hedge funds and private equity.
Crucial to our long term development is building up our endowment fund, initially established very generously by Man Group plc. This will allow us to make long term commitments to bring outstanding scholars to Oxford to teach and research this very exciting subject.
