Disability Support

This support will help to enable students – whatever their need – to make the most of their time at Oxford.

Key facts and figures:

  • Oxford’s Disability Advisory Service (DAS) provides academic study support, advice and guidance to the 1,500 students who have disclosed a disability to the University.
  • DAS provides access to a wide range of support, including study skills tuition, specialist mentoring, IT equipment and assistive technology, ergonomic furniture, note takers and readers.
  • Specialist advisors in DAS also deliver training, help raise awareness and liaise with academic and support staff across Oxford to offer specialised advice and support.
  • OUSU – the Student Union – also provides a dedicated information, advice and advocacy service for students.

With philanthropic support, Oxford seeks to maintain and expand the provision available to students, to ensure support of every kind is on hand for those who need it most.
